A Review Of The Book: The Wizards Return By Michael Walsh

A Review Of The Book: The Wizards Return By Michael WalshThe Wizards Return by Michael Walsh is a great young adult fantasy. It's a page-turning adventure will draw in the young, adventure-seeking reader and hold him spellbound. I would definitely recommend this for the twelve-year-old and up group.
Young Daniel, up until now, has lived a peaceful existence on his frozen mountain with his aged-grandfather. But then one day his grandfather disappears with no warning. His grandfather's only parting mental message to Daniel is to go down the mountain as now it's time.
Grieving, confused and apprehensive to leave the only home he's ever known, Daniel rallies and begins his trip down, down the mountain to find answers on how to save his grandfather. But instead, instead he discovers that he's a wizard destined to fulfill an old prophecy and... save the world. No pressure right?!
With the help of his grandfather's friend Gavin and Gavin's niece and nephew--Anna and Marcus who are wizards too--Daniel takes on the mantle of savior of the land of Now. But nothing is ever easy for one whose destiny is to save the world. Peter--a greedy leader of the militia--wants to keep his position as the most powerful man in the land; so... blood, mayhem, magic, new friends, laughter and... some special relationships ensue as Daniel and his companions seek to evade sure death at Peter's hands and bring about the rebirth of their dying land.
For if they fail in their task, if they give up, the result will be death for them and the few remaining people trying to survive in the unsurvivable world that once had been viewed as the land of plenty. So ride along with Daniel and his friends, feel their anguish, laugh at their moments of hilarity and think, think about the lesson that can be learned from the path their world chose and maybe it will give you a bigger appreciation for what, where and how you live your life.
There are a few editing issues that are easily overlooked as the story totally draws you in and holds you so for me this could easily be a solid four stars as it's that good. This is very high praise from me as four stars earns a book the great read file on my kindle. So if you have an adventure-seeking youngster, a lover of magical action books or even a child who loves to read books with great fight scenes and the occasional inclusion of hilarity I highly recommend you check it out.
